Preamble
Irrespective of the ‘balanced scorecard’ and similar approaches, the major measure of the success of any business is through ‘financial performance’. The finance function is no longer independent and separate from other functions such as HR, Marketing, Operations and Business Development. Executives who are involved in business decisions need to be equipped with basic finance knowledge and skills so as to be able to interpret financial parameters and contribute effectively for business growth.

At the end of the programme, participants would be expected to have gained an understanding of financial statements, and financial ratios as a tool for financial analysis; be able to determine cost of capital, investment decisions, and working capital
